# IBC (Cosmos → MANTRA)

> Bridge from any Cosmos chain into MANTRA Chain via IBC

IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) is the native way to move tokens between Cosmos chains. If you're bridging from another Cosmos ecosystem chain — such as Osmosis, Cosmos Hub, or any IBC-enabled network — this is the right option.

## Bridge with IBC

You can also initiate IBC transfers directly from wallets that support it, such as **Keplr** or **Leap**.

## Before you start

1. **Verify IBC support** — confirm the source chain has an active IBC channel to MANTRA Chain
2. **Check channel details** — see the [Chain Registry](https://mantrachain.mintlify.site/resources/chain-registry.md) for up-to-date channel and connection IDs
3. **Review token denoms** — IBC tokens arrive with chain-specific denominations; see [IBC Denoms](https://mantrachain.mintlify.site/resources/ibc-denoms.md) for the full list
4. **Send a test transfer** — always bridge a small amount first before moving larger sums
